It's had to see the end on the little Tazer, the yellow blends in with the background. The bee looks cute.

Yeah, I'll make the tazer darker. Is the bee gonna make it, do you think?

So I bit the bullet and decided I want to try my hand at spriting. This is my first try: user posted image
For those of you who don't know what it is, it's the littlest Totoro from the Studio Ghibli film My Neighbor Totoro. If I can get good enough I'll try doing all of the Totoros. Any pointers would be much appreciated.

@Poipoi: I think it has a good chance of getting in.
@ SnowWhite: Looks good to me, the only thing would be to darken the outline just a bit.

I darkened the outline and messed a little bit with the leaves. Which one looks better?

I like 2 better. 1 may be darker and a tad easier to see but I think 2 blends with the white better.

You don't have to have an artist account to release leetles. I joined as a clicker, and now I'm working on releasing my first leetle. I think there are other clickers who have released leetles. Just get yourself established with lots of leetles for people to click and build up piles of micropoints. Then turn those piles of micropoints into creations!

Oh I see! Thanks for the information. But isn't it cheaper to upload leetles when your account is artist type?

It is cheaper that way, but unless that is how you plan to make your main "income" (for lack of better words) it's best to stick with a clicker account. You'll have to work a little harder to create leetles, but by the time you reach a high level you will easily be able to finance your creations with your daily clicks.

ETA: I went ahead and submitted my Chibi totoro. We'll see how this goes. If all goes well I might try my hand a few other things.

Yeah, it is easier to earn micropoints(is that how it's called?) by using a clicker account.
Goodluck with your Chibi Totoro!!
BTW, I created a leetle bloody sword, do you think that kind of leetle is allowed?
Here's my sample:

Maybe just take the blood off and call it Leetle Broad Sword. The blood might be a bit much, but I would wait for Lunchbox's opinion of it.

Edit: Opps forgot about the transparency part. You can use downloadable programs like GIMP and photoshop (it's also bundles of money). I use Iaza.com. Upload the image with a different colored background (I use red provided there is no red of that shade in the image) and select that color to turn transparent.

Not sure on the blood issue. I always try to reference another leetle that is already made to see if an issue may be accepted by TJ. As far as blood goes nothing comes to mind that has been accepted yet that contains blood. The sword isn't that gore-E. It's really just red signifying blood so I'd try it out if it was me. If it's not just put something in your shop for 2k, i'll buy it.

Although their was that time when I made a butcher baby leetle (the user), which was the butchers knife and leetle baby leetles in one leetle. That leetle was waiting to be accepted for over a month, and was only accepted when I separated them into two different leetles.

An example of something TJ rejected was a dog I did of it dragging it's butt across the ground leaving behind a brown streak. He also rejected a You tube logo I did, which probably looked to much like the youtube logo. It read U-Tube.

Haha, I lol'd at the dog dragging its, ehem, behind.

Hmm, I change my mind, I'm not going with the Leetle Broadsword. How about this instead? Any suggestions?

Leetle rainbow flash fishie? (Not enough points to upload yet but thought I'd ask for opinions as to whether it'd fit the site anyway). I was thinking about giving it a bit of a background to help with movement but I think the background's meant to be transparent?

Holy smokes! Another fish biggrin.gif So buying the crap outta it! If you want to get more micropoints try signing up for Yarold's. Lunchbox made a thread about it. It won't make you uber rich, but it will add about 100 micropoints a day.

I love the Leetle Desert Island. I think there is another one, but it hasn't been in circulation for a while. Plus, it was a different design. Great job!!

So I've been trying to make a leetle for the upcoming easter holiday, and I've gotten pretty far. But I'm having a lot of trouble with shading (it has always been my weakness). Everyone remember those delicious sugar-coated marshmallows? biggrin.gif

(This isn't the picture I used as a reference; I couldn't find it again.) I'm still really unsure of how to shade my little marshmallow peep. user posted image Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
