I dunno if anyone can answer this but...

I'm trying to upgrade (says I have a newer version so downgrade possibly?) a Windows XP Home edition 2002 sp3 to a Windows XP professional 2002. I inserted the disc like I would normally when upgrading. I prompted it to begin installation and it failed because "the version of windows on this machine is newer than the one on the disc". I also read somewhere in that text that I had to boot from the CD. I did that and it told me to delete the operating system.

So, how do you delete an operating system and reinstall the drivers once it's done and all that? Sorry if I'm asking too much, I can't find any of this anywhere.
