Here in Canada Thanksgiving has already come and gone, so it'd be a bit late for me.

The eastern, most certainly <3

The volcano, not so much. it's very difficult to see any shading and the mountain is sorta... triangular. Needs moar texture.

I like them, too--especially the Blue Eastern. I agree with Umbreonage, though--the volcano's a little too dark to see the shading. But it'd definitely be cool to have a Leetle Volcano. biggrin.gif

I'm working on a leetle Thanksgiving dinner. It's making me hungry...

I just got a couple of creations rejected ~ I'm not complaining about that because they were my first goes. But I would like some constructive criticism as to what was wrong with them so I can improve. Who do I ask for the reasons that my efforts were rejected?

QUOTE (foxette @ Nov 2 2009, 07:40 AM)
How do you make your background transparent?

To quote Marrionetta:

Once you have something drawn, you can save it and upload it to Iaza.com. That's the site I use to add a transparent layer or combine frames to make an animation. Transparency is an option under the header 'transform' on that site, and animate is found under 'combine.' You don't need a special program to make moving leetles.

Now it is my turn to need a leetle help. I have made me a leetle pixel pony:

user posted image

Problem is: I'm terrible with horse anatomy at times and what i have done, i can't seem to fix further.

Second problem is, i need tips and such on coloring this as i have never colored anything before.

The red is the legs on the side away from us. The blue is the mane and tail. Any tips and such would really be useful. I'd like to see what i can do with this. smile.gif

I suggest adding some curves on the top and bottom to look like a real mug. It's super cute though, with the changing colors. How about some shading too? Do you know how to select custom colors in paint?

That's getting a bit more sophisticated than I'm ready for just yet. This was really the best I could come up with at this point in time. I know how to selectthe custom colors, it's doing the actual shading where I mess it up.

ETA: I do appreciate the feedback, I just don't think I can domuch better than this.

Well, you still need to crop and add transparency.

Good luck though. biggrin.gif

Shading a cylinder like your cup is actually pretty easy - if you just Google "shading a cylinder" you'll find loads of tips and tutorials on the topic.

I pushed on and did what i could. "Fixed" the mane a little in hopes of making it a bit more natural looking. Repositioned one of the legs in hopes of a better effect. Then i went crazy and tried my best at coloring and shading (first time ever) and praying that it wouldn't turn out too badly.

Comments and crits and suggestions for improvement are very welcome. What more can i do to improve my leetle pixel pony?

I'd say the horse's shading is excellent. The only thing I can think of to improve it is maybe make the mane and tail a bit brighter - other than that, it's good.

Do want on the Leetle Gray Wolf! Can't wait until more are stocked. biggrin.gif

And i brightened up the mane a bit (hopefully didn't make it too bright) as well as a few minor tweaks to the shading. Ended up having to tweak the tail because it ended up making the width too long, sadly. 32x32 is the max correct?

user posted image

And with transparency (though i may still be tweaking it, i wanted to see it without the white around it so much):

I think it looks really good personally. Surprised though i am. XD Think i like the brighter red of the mane and tail too. Stands out more.

I have no suggestions, as I am not so good at anything artsy.

I like the leetles that have been posted, but I find it frustrating when I vote yes for a leetle, it gets voted in, and it takes so very long to get one, because I have missed the restocks, or the creator hasn't made even a second batch of them.
